Top Permit Types
Here is a list of the top permits that our clients apply for:
🍸 Mixed Beverage Permit (MB)
Best for: Bars, lounges, nightclubs, restaurants selling and serving spirits, wine, and beer for consumption on-premise.
Allows: On-premise mixed drinks; may require additional subordinate permits for inventory and taxes.
🍷 Wine & Beer Retailer Permits (BG/BE)
Best for: Restaurants, cafés, hotels, theaters, grocers, and convenience retailers that sell wine and/or beer.
Allows: On-premise and/or off-premise sales depending on permit selection.
🍺 Brewery / Brewer’s Permit (BW/BN/BP)
Best for: Breweries and brewpubs manufacturing malt beverages.
Some permit types allow limited self-distribution and direct-to-consumer sales.
🥃 Distillers & Rectifiers Permit (D)
Best for: Distilleries producing vodka, gin, whiskey, tequila analogs, etc.
Allows: Manufacturing and certain sampling privileges (with approved subordinate authorizations).
🍇 Winery Permit (G)
Best for: Wineries, vineyard operators, tasting rooms.
Allows: Production, sampling, and certain direct sales and shipping options.
📦 Distributor / Wholesaler (BB/BC)
Best for: Distribution and logistics companies selling products to retailers.
Allows: Beverage storage, transportation, and retailer sales under Texas' three-tier system..
Product Registration / Label Approval
For any beverage product sold in Texas requiring TABC registration. Must align with TTB COLA requirements if federally regulated
🚚 Carrier / Transportation Permits (C/O)
Required for companies transporting alcohol between licensed entities, warehouses, ports, or retailers in Texas.
